Energy & Balance Yoga is both physically and mentally challenging and is characterised by its precision and concentration in the alignment and execution of the asanas (postures) and pranayamas (breathing exercises). Compared to other styles, the postures are held for longer. This promotes intensive stretching and strengthening of the body. Practising the asanas with this precision and duration has the effect of calming the mind.
