Place of power Sils

When three days of Margna become a week of vacation ...

Sils is a place of energy and power. Our guests experience positive life energy and pleasant relaxation in the magnificent lake and mountain landscape. There are places of power all over the world and they are often prominent geographical points, for example lake and river shores, mountains or forest clearings. Often they are also sacred buildings or places of worship of Celtic peoples. The Frenchman Alfred Bovis (1871-1947) recorded the life energies he sensed on a scale of 0 to 10,000 Bovis units. This was done by means of intuition and radiesthesia, in which the energy quality is measured by pendulum (biometer). This method of measurement is subjective and the existence of radiation is not scientifically proven. Nevertheless, guests and locals feel a special effect - giving energy, relaxing and decelerating.

Others love power places because of the benefit of spending free time in a particularly beautiful place. They draw joy and strength from the climate, the tranquility, the culinary delights and the physical exercise. In Sils it is additionally the incomparable light of the south with which the Upper Engadine is blessed. This is also why you will find comfortable loungers in our hotel park at any time of the year, where you can sunbathe and air bathe.

Powerful places in and around the Parkhotel Margna

Your hosts Simona and Luzi Seiler have their own places of power in and around the hotel: in particular the park, but also the fireplace room Chadafö veglia with the Biblioteca, the bar and the gourmet cellar. A walking distance from the hotel the peninsula Chasté, the benches on the lakeshore and in the God Laret with the beautiful view of Lake Sils. The two hear again and again from many guests that they quickly recover and find new strength at the Parkhotel Margna: "Three days at the Margna feel like a week's vacation."

Logo Kraftort

The Parkhotel Margna symbolizes the five sensory organs with the five-petaled power place flower. This graphic is inspired by the mountain flowers and the typical sgraffito rosettes that can be seen on Engadine houses.

Margna – the book

For the big Margna book, which will be published in 2022, we had a conversation with the religious and literary scholar Andrea Fischbacher about the place of power and culture Sils. In it, the head of the Kraftorte Schweiz research center gives an interesting overview of the various facets of Kraftort research.
