Who would have thought that the former goat herder in Sils Johann Josty would run a prosperous coffee house in Berlin at the age of 23? With his self-earned fortune, he built today's Hotel Margna as a family residence in Sils-Baselgia in 1817. In his homeland he was regarded as a generous "father of the poor", who unfortunately passed away just nine years later.
